Move-On Units

Rose & CrownLonger term minimal support accommodation for 18-25 year olds while they are working with the Local Authority to secure permanent housing.

Purpose

Our Move-On units provide low level support for 18-25 year olds. They offer a total of 6 self contained one bedroom flats suited to young people with low support needs. Residents are expected to be in employment, on training, or undertaking voluntary work. The emphasis is upon developing independent living skills, particularly with regard to employment, managing household bills and interaction with visitors and neighbours. This ensures that they can become responsible tenants suited to general social housing.

Staffing and Support

All residents have an allocated Support Coordinator. For those who have been residents of Bramah House or Winchcombe House, this will usually be their existing worker. Staff are not based on site and support is provided on an individual needs-led basis. Typically, there will be a higher level of support during the first 3 months of a tenancy in these units, which tapers off over time.

Resettlement and Move On

Residents may take an assured shorthold tenancy on these units for up to 2 years. Most will move on to independent social housing with assistance provided for a period of time by CCP's Floating Support Team.
