CCP Foyer

Foyer

Safe and secure housing support

CCP Foyer has been a member of the National Foyer Federation since 1996 and provides a range of integrated housing, training, education, employment, advice and support services for vulnerable young people aged 16-25 years. We currently offer 58 units of supported housing at 7 sites in Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire

  • Bramah House – A 10 bed Direct Access Assessment Unit in Cheltenham providing high support for the most chaotic and challenging young people.
  • Winchcombe House – A 9 bed medium support unit in Cheltenham with a focus on developing independent living skills.
  • Season House - (Stroud Youth Housing Centre) is a 10 bed centre providing housing and support for young people aged 16 to 25 in the Stroud district.
  • Charles England House - A 20 unit centre in Patchway, South Gloucestershire, for young people, including families and couples.
  • Chrysalis House – A 3 bed house share to encourage young people to develop their independent living skills prior to moving to low support or independent living.
  • Move-On Units – 6 self contained flats with low support for those preparing to move on to independent living.

Young people progress through the various levels of support at their own pace and can return to a higher level if necessary. The final objective is for them to move on to a sustainable independent tenancy.

Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) - A Matrix accredited service is delivered by IAG qualified CCP staff at Cheltenham 1st Stop and within CCP Foyer sites.

Training, Education and Employment - Integrated training and education programmes are delivered by CCP staff within the housing units. Progression into mainstream education and training provision is achieved through our partner training providers. Clients are supported in all aspects of finding and keeping paid employment and are also encouraged to engage in wide range of leisure, sporting and hobby activities during the evenings and weekends.

Support - All Foyer clients are allocated a Support Co-ordinator who is responsible for implementing an appropriate Support and Development Plan. This consists of a portable package of support delivered by specialist partner agencies and is designed to meet the specific needs of the individual. When the young person is ready to move on from Foyer to independent accommodation, the Support Coordinator will ensure that they have the essential furnishings and equipment they need, that their utilities are set up, and they are able to pay rent and manage their tenancy. The Support Coordinator will ensure they can continue to access all elements of their support package and that partner agencies are aware that the young person has moved. At this point, either the CCP Floating Support team or another local floating support service may become involved. They will provide ongoing low level support while the young person adapts to independent living in their own home.
